Q: What is your track record? A: We are an independent press which has been in business since 2003. Our philosophy is to promote healing. One way of doing this is to let people tell their stories and be heard. In the area of recovering veterans, we have completed two books: My Tour In Hell: A Marine's Battle with Combat Trauma and Made In America, Sold in the 'Nam (2nd Ed.). Also in 2008, we will publish a special 20th anniversary edition of "F.N.G" by Don Bodey. Q: How will the book get sold? A: We will sell through Ingram Book Group which is orderable from any bookstore in the USA, Amazon.com, and approximately 50 other online bookstores. Q: When did this project start and when will it finish? A: We began this compilation project in September 2007 after meeting Anya Achtenberg and finding out that there were a lot of vet writers who might want to contribute. The call-for-papers will end on January 1st, 2008 and the publication will go to press in March 2008. Q: Why an anthology? A: It is our belief that a diversity of viewpoints will create more credibility for the overall theme than a single writer can express. If you hear to 10 or 12 people saying the same thing, it has more punch than a lone voice, in my opinion. Q: What happens to the proceeds? A: Proceeds from the book ($4 per copy) will be donated to Disabled American Veterans organization. This is as much as we can give because distributors demand a 55% cut of sales. Q: What about the contributors? A: Everyone who contributes will receive 10 free copies of the books as well as the right to purchase at 45% off List Price. Because this is a charitable project, we will not be compensating individual contributors. Q: Are you a vet? A: I have not served my country but my brother is in the Dept. of Homeland Security and my father was in the merchant marine service in WWII. Q: How can I send a submission? A: FAX in a signed copy of the Contributor Permission Form and then
